New Proposition 65 notice filed for glassware sold at college bookstores
In addition to recently filed Proposition 65 notices concerning allegations of lead exposure and decorated glass and ceramicware sold at retail and in restaurants, SGCDpro has learned that still another Proposition 65 notice was filed in October in California related to an allegation that consumers are exposed to lead from the outside surface of glass drinking vessels sold at college bookstores in the state. The plaintiff in these cases is represented by the same attorney who represented the plaintiff in the Proposition 65 drinkware cases that were settled on August 31, 2004. These new allegations, however, are not part of that settlement. Contact Andy Bopp if you have any questions, 703-838-2810.
